Using Matthews Butterfly/Overhead Fabrics with Westcott Scrim Jim Cine

Doubt Matthews rags would fit them. They may be too big for that frame if that rag is exactly 6x6. You wouldnt get a tight stretch on it. Ive had rags that are exact and tad smaller than there listed size.

standard rags are about 4" smaller than the frame size, you use the ties to stretch them tight to the frame. I believe the ScrimJim frames are actual full foot measurements so it should work fine.

Also consider that the Westcott Scrim Jims, while fine products, are considerably lighter and flimsier than traditional frames, they're designed for people without grip trucks (smaller, lighter, fold down to more and smaller sections, tubing is much lighter duty) so they may not take the stretch needed to make your Matthews rags work the way they should.
You'd probably get the best results from either sticking with Scrim Jim rags or buying a heavier duty frame for your traditional rags.

some good points there. That will be especially obvious if you get the frame out in a bit of a wind, though a 6 x 6 isn’t too bad.

I think you can get thin wall stainless tubing to replace the aluminum on the scrim jim
