Using loops and samples?

Hey there, hope this is the right place for this question.

I was just wondering can you use and distribute loops and samples from programs like reason, fruity loops etc, in your films and for your own recordings or what so ever?

Read the license agreement or EULA for the specific software and loop/sample libraries you're using - that'll tell you exactly what you can and can't do with them.

Probably the EULA will say that you can not sell or "loan" the content ie the loops or samples but that work you create with them is yours to do with what you want. That is the general rule with such things. So you cant take one of their loops and sell it but if you create a song that uses that loop it's a new and original work and you own it. This isn't 100% so do check the EULA.
