Using keyframes with Magic Bullet "Basic Scratches"?

I'm "aging" my 24P movie clips in Premiere Pro 1.5, uisng the Black and White, Dust and Basic Scratches Magic Bullet plug-ins. I love the scratches but would prefer not to have them applied over the entire length of the clip, just here and there. Is it possible to use keyframes to control the Scratch effects? So far, I've only used keyframes to control motion and opacity. Is there another way to achieve the intermediate scratch effect?

The advantage to the keyframe method is that the effect(s) will ramp in , are variable and you do not need to razor the clip. The disadvantage maybe the longer rendering time required if the effect does not carry over teh whole clip duration.

Use the key frames exactly how you have with your other fx. GO to the frames, set the parametetr and click the "stopwatch' .
 
Gracias, gentlemen. Both methods would seem to get the job done. I like the idea of not having to cut the clip, especially when I start moving things around on the timeline during the final edit. Will give each method a shot. Thanks very much for the helpful info!

A liitle suggestion because you mentioned moving clips around in the final edit.

Do ALL of your editing FIRST then apply effects and transitions. (especially the rendering type FX like Magic Bullet).
