Using JFK footage in short

Hi,I was thinking about using some footage of the JFK assassination in an up coming short I’ll be filming, does anyone know if I would need permission or would it be considered public domain?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

You can send me a check and I'll give you approval.
I'm sure the footage belongs to someone and yes, you must get some sort of approval before you use anything. If this is a student project or something in that nature then use it. You can still send me a check though.

It's better-known as the Zapruder film, if that helps.
