Using the Ikegami Tm9-1 Field monitor with the DVX100a, what is the best way to hook it up?

I'm powering it by anton bauer! HEHE, it's rocking. GOOD BYE WIRES, I'll show them where they can "enter that cable"!!

Regular composite cable the only way? I know they have high quality composite RCA cables...

It's just that I'm used to running a BNC line from a videotap or a betacam... any suggestions, much appreciated.

CHEERS!!

Re: Using Ikegami Field Monitor

I also just bought the Porta Brace field case for it and holy macaronni Batman!!

It's sweet but it costs more than your utility belt!! :o

I would like to go on the record and say that I hate you for having an Anton Bauer set up. I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a damn charger.

Anywho, I would hook it up using S Video.

The Porta Brace monitor cases are expensive as hell, but damn are they awesome.

Re: Using Ikegami Field Monitor

i used to used field monitors, JVC,Ikegami,Sony, etc. I soon found out that just using my DVX LCD works fine. I didn't notice any significant differences using these monitors. Plus they can take some time to set up and can be in the way. I don't know, thats just me. I like to keep things simple. Shiat, I used a dam bucket as a directors chair cause I'm ghetto like dat.

TC, I got the battery donated from work from my boss for my production.

There would be no way in hell that I would be able to budget that after the monitor, are you kidding?!!

No way man. As used as I am getting to shoot by the LCDs, nothing compares to a nice calibrated Ike or sony, by your side.

PS: Once you get famous and overweight like Tarantino and Orson Welles, you'll have to let the bucket go. But then agan, you might have to take Charlton Heston to play a Mexican... What crazy world...
