Using Glidecam 4000 p with a camera which is very light

I recently purchased a Glidecam 4000 pro on ebay, I got a really good deal, it's coming in mail soon. I am getting the DVX100b in a few months, and it's going to be great for that, but I know I won't be able to use it with my current camera without adding extra weight to it. I am currently using the Panasonic PVGS500 3CCD DVC Palmcorder. It put it on digital bathroom scale, and it's only 1.6 lbs with battery and tape in, I know to use a camera with the Glidecam 4000 it must be at least 4 lbs. Any idea of how I can add weight to it, maybe weighted clamps or something so I can use the Glidecam with my current camera prior to acquiring the DVX100b.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, operating a glidecam with just your arm results in extreme fatigue. After just a few minutes, the arm starts shaking. If you add a SmoothShooter vest to the mix, it comes with weight plates that fit on top of the GlideCam sled (and several other places). This adds weight, not just so you can use a small camera, but because the rig becomes smoother the heavier it is (it's easier to turn around a jet-ski than a supertanker).

Thanks, the smooth shooter is next on my list, I have to sell some musical gear first to pay for that, I have ready and know all about the fatigue, I've read quite a bit on it, I have a buddy who does all the filming, so we are going to take turns with the shots. I just want to test/play with it, nothing like doing a whole day of shooting with it. Get some shots here and there. Any idea of a temporary solution to add the weight while handheld?

I've got a 2000 and had to add a few of the included 2.25" washers to the headplate in order to get a good balance.
