Hi,

I am producing an commercial that feature a guy who starred in the American Ninja moves from the mid eighties.

we want to use footage from the film to promote the product. what's the best way to track down the owners of that footage? I know the actor can't do it but he didn't know who currently owned the rights and he also said he expected them to agree because it promotes the movie.

Having trouble tracking down Golan & Globus?

Well, chances are the footage in question now belongs to MGM. I'm pretty sure MGM has an office for this sort of thing. :)

I must say, prior to this project I only knew golan/globus as a low budget israeli studio. But after doing a little research, come to find out these guys were totally whack! hilarious hollywood escapades, but at the end of the day, they were apparently quite passionate about movies--they'd probably fit in perfectly at dvxuser.

Oh, yeah. Corman, DePalma, and Golan/Globus are my heroes. Lots of people who are/were better, but I can't think of any that (consistently) had more fun.

:)
