Using FCP as a DVrack sorta deal

I have a shoot coming up sometime early may where we plan to shoot with the dvx hooked up to a macbook pro running FCP where we'll capture the footage on the spot. Since I've never tried this before I figured that I'd try it out today.

I plugged in my camera, pulled up the log and capture window and hit capture now. It captures for about 2 seconds before it provides me with a warning that says it's hit the end of the tape although I have well over 10 minutes of tape left. Anybody know how to solve this issue? I'm going to try a few things now to see if I can't get it working, but any help is appreciated.

Switch firewire device to non-controllable in log and capture window. Should fix it.:)

I JUST thought about doing this as I was sifting through that 1000 page document they call the FCP manual. Thanks a lot man, I'll try it now.
