No takers, so I'll modify the question (and maybe post in Avid thread instead)...but what's the best way to take 15 fps footage and get it into a 30i timeline so that it looks smoother. Looks like Avid gives me duplicate frames to convert it into 30i, and of course it's stuttery. Perhaps a plugin? After Effects?
