I will be taping a rather important music gig in April with a DVC30 and an AT825 mic. As I don't yet have the Panny XLR mic adapter for phantom power, I'm planning on using the 825 on battery power alone.
Question: How much less effective is it using the AT825 by battery vs phantom power? I will be recording in a small, acoustic setting. From what I understand I will be losing the ability to acheive a balanced signal(?) Sorry, I'm brand-new to most of this....
