using an LCD TV as a monitor for editing

hey guys,
i have been using my 50inch DLP tv in the living room off and on to edit little commericials and what not... no big deal, was never anything of great importance... but now i have just completed shooting (well as of monday) my short thesis film. i have a bedroom in the back of the house that i plan to use as my "edit bay."
i have a macbook pro and the 15 inch is just not going to cut it... gets too crowded. i was thinking about buying a 32inch LCD TV (perhaps bigger if i can afford it) and just run my macbook pro out to it for all my editing...
am i missing anything on this? is that going to be an okay way to edit or does the LCD not give the ideal needed colors for such an endeavor?
thanks
jared

Don't trust it for color correction unless you hook up a matrox mxo 2 mini. Otherwise it will work great. Not sure what Lake Films is talking about. It should definitely be 1080p though.
