Using AE to Un-Squeeze Panavision Anamorphic shot digitally?

I have a project coming up soon where we might be shooting digital timelapse on a Canon 5D Mark II with a Panavision adapter and Panavision anamorphic lenses.

Can I use After Effects to unsqueeze the image? It's basically just a simple stretching of the image, right? I'm not sure exactly what Panavision anamorphics we will be using.
