Using a viewfinder with overlays whilst shooting UHD or 4K??

Second day with my new DVX. Can I feed the information on my internal viewfinder to an external one whilst shooting in UHD or 4K? In Barry's DVX Guide it says on page 115 that the "Video Out OSD" is disabled when using a Rec Format of UHD or 4K. (Is "Video out OSD" the only way to get viewfinder info out to an external EVF??) Sorry if this seems like a dumb question....
 
Video Out OSD is the On Screen Display. And yes, that's disabled when you're recording 4K or UHD, so no, there's no way to get it out to an external viewfinder.
 
Thanks Barry. Is this a processor limitation do you think, or something that might be changed via a future firmware update?
