Using a tripod or on the shoulder?

As a cinematographer, i have shot many times with large 35mm "on the shoulder" method for that action effect. Now that i am shooting on 24p, i find that the jitter is way too exaggerated and the shot almost ruined. I love 24p on sticks, however, my director says he wants "on the shoulder" for this production.

Is there a way to making better "on the shoulder" shots with the DVX, or is all hopeless?

Maybe you can use some kind of steadicam device to remedy some of the shakiness?

I don't think you can do better than the DVRig Pro for the DVX. The DVRig Pro balances the camera on your shoulder and does a great job damping out movement and giving you excellent control of the camera. For the quality and utility of the product, it's a great deal. While it doesn't replace a Steadi-type rig, you can use the DVRig Pro for hours at a stretch. It's also much easier to learn quickly than a Steadi rig.
