ok so ive been using premiere pro 2.0 for a while, never really needed to upgrade till now. Im using after effects with a current projects and i need to use the dynamic link but i cant use it with 2.0 so i need to download the newest version.

I saved the entire project on an external. now when i use it in the newer version of premiere..all the files are the but theres nothing in the timeline? Need help. if anyone one can?

Without knowing what version you are working in now, it is hard to answer this. HOwever, sometimes whene you pull an older project into a new one, you need to go into your bin, find the actual Sequence file, and double click on it in order to bring up the previous project. Remember, Premiere now has the ability to have multiple sequences/timelines, under one project name. In Adobe Days of old, you could only have one timeline in any project, and that timeline WAS, per-se, your project. Not so anymore. In fact, you can also have multiple sequences in one project, that also have varying formats. HD, SD, HDV, P2, ETC. You can copy clips from one sequence/timeline and paste them in another, litterally condensing your main sequence.

Hope I have not confused you.

Check to see that you are using the correct sequence..... I have that once but the sequence with all my work on it just wasnt opened.
