I have to shoot in the himalaya next month and need to trvael light. I am taking a GH3 with 12=35mm just for this purpose. I usually use a Miller Solo for travel but for the GH3 I think I can gte away wiht my Gitzo Mountaineer - superlightweight.
Anyone have any ideas how to use this tripod for video? I do have a small Manfroto 701 head but this comes loose when you pan and also there is no way to level the Gitzo wiht just a video head for flat mounting. I thought about buying a ball head but this means no panning. Any solution must be lightweight.
There is a levelling adapter but it is heavy.
