Hello all,
I did a search for this but couldn't find an answer, perhaps it was my keyword choices, but any help you can give would be much appreciated, here's the setup:
I own an HVX200 and will use it on projects with a Brevis occasionally. I recently bought the Gateway 24" FPD2485W HD monitor to use as both a field monitor and an editing monitor. I've also been looking to buy the Varizoom VZ-TFT7U as an on-board monitor to accompany this (primarily for focus/framing).
I know the Panasonic BT-LH1700WP is a proper field monitor and it's awesome, but my budget is limited and I got the Gateway for $500 new vs. $2700. Also the Marshall V-R70P-HDA is immaculate, but $325 vs. $1000 used is a big difference as well. And from everyone who's posted here (thanks everyone, this site is invaluable) these seem like the lower-budget way to do it.
So here's the issue:
I've heard that if you use the component output for the HVX200 that you can't use any of the other outputs. Is this right? How exactly is everyone using both a field and on-board monitor then? Do you just not use the component output? Or are there adapters/cables you can buy to split the signal?
Any and all solutions would be much appreciated. I'm in a holding pattern on the Varizoom until I figure this one out
Thanks!
