Using 29.97 footage in my 23.98 timeline

Ok, cant find a clear answer for this. I shot all my footage in 24P Adv. mode and I'm also bringin in 29.97 footage. Do i need to conform this footage in Cinema tools first? Whats the best way to edit this footage along with my 24p footage?

If you are bringing in regular 29.97 footage you should edit in a 29.97 timeline. Maybe remove the advanced pulldown on the 24p stuff and apply a regular 2:3 one, which will give you slightly smoother motion.

Well, it depends on whether you're planning on going to output a 24p DVD, or go to film out.

If you're planning on either one of these options, then I would start a new sequence with the 29.97 footage and convert it to 23.98, then bring it back to the 23.98 timeline.
