used dvx price?

I shoot Pirates.
so, im selling my dvx soon to a buddy of mine. upgradin to the hvx.

here's what i got, dvx100a, good condition, the case was cracked not too long ago and was repaired by a Panasonic certified store in Burbank, cant remember the name off hand. they checked it all out and its all good now.

and the .7 century wide angle lens, good condition, no scratches.

might throw in the bag.

i have an ana lens. like a tard i cleaned it one day and introduced some slight scratches to the front glass. they are only visible when a light is shined into the lens. should i even charge for it? or reduce its price considerably? i guess you could send it in and have the front lens fixed/replaced.

anyway, trying to come up with a decent price for the goods. anyone have any suggestion? any info would be greatly appreciated.

$3,200 for the camera and lens together. That's not an offer, but a recommendation.

I remember trying to sell my Sony PD-150 before buying my DVX. I couldn't get a bite at $2,000 and the package included several extras including: Porta Brace bag, Century WA/fisheye lens, extra Sony batteries, Sony on-camera light, etc., etc.

The market for DVX100s is better, but I think it will definitely drop as the HVX is released and continue to drop as more cameras enter the marketplace. I believe the resale value of a DVX100A is very near its apex right now - perhaps, even past it.
 
Personally I wouldn't pay $3200 for the camera, and like Terry this is not an offer. I think the cameras on the used market are going at about 66% of original price after rebate, so right about $2k. With the ana, batteries, and wide adapter, used... maybe $500-$750 (depending what condition the ana is in).

I'd say right about $2500-$2750. There have been DVX100's sold here on this board at $1500, so even $2000 for an A might be pushing it (NBC I think posted his at $1500).

The hard part is selling it to a friend, you know the hours and fair market price, but then again, you know how much you want off the sticker of the HVX.

Then again, all things being the same, I might be interested in the ana, even in current condition

3200 does seem a bit high though, maybe if the ana were mint maybe. maybe i could work some poor ebay fool into 3500...hahahahehe...just kidding...

if for some reason the deal falls through with my buddy i will let you guys know in the marketplace forum...

Well if you want the honest truth, Ebay will yield the highest return on your $. I have seen DVX100's going for $2500 used, and grey market cameras are easily getting $3000 new. If you throw in all the other stuff you most likely will walk away with the $3200 through Ebay. It's a sellers market, and the market is hot.
