Does anyone have a standard agreement for giving limited use of video content to another party?
I am producing a documentary series for an non-profit organization. They got a request from a fellow organization for a DVD of the widget episode to educate a group that is thinking about starting to use widgets. I see no harm in sharing this information but am concerned about giving a digital copy of the content on DVD without a limited use license.
I advised my client to only give this third party a DVD if they signed an agreement that may only use the DVD for the purpose of showing the episode to the group and that no other rights to the video content were granted by the giving of the DVD.
