Usage of Ink/Cloud Chambers?

[ryvac]

there's always a collection of Ink/Cloud chambers when you buy stock footage and the demand has always been there.
but I never use them for my project nor have I seen someone else using them...
so what are they used for? can anyone show me a good example how they are used.
I'd really like to use this Ink/Cloud chambers collection but I need some hints & inspiration.

Also used for transitions, looping BG's and animated masks.

Here's a Seaworld Commercial using it.

thanks brinks,
the sea world commercial is a good one!
I was imagining more of a complex animated work but seems like this effects is used on it's own.
looks pretty simple to use.
...mmm, now I just have to think of a scene inside water....

Psyop does a lot of this really good, you can check out their site here: http://psyop.tv/

The recent Infiniti commercials with the sumi-e type brushing at the start uses a lot of the ink stuff, pretty well in context too: http://www.youtube.com/Infiniti

nice commercial.
I haven't been able to come up with a paint brush type of a story telling video yet, but I sure am going to keep that in mind

btw, I just saw a Halo commercial at Target and the ink chamber effects was used for a virus injection scene.
I guess this effect is used all the time...!
