Well actually I know most of the people from the remake. Too be honest I only know six of the people from the original song. I think its a generational thing. Or it could be just the taste in music, but that also works with the whole generational thing.

Hmmmm I guess you may be right.

Hmmmm

I suppose we'll know in the next generation who had staying power and legend status

Damn

I'm old.

Well, let's see. Theres Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Perry, Bob Dylan and Ray Charles.

here you go..

The song sound very familiar. I really enjoy these kind of songs. Don't really know what kind of songs they are but just the type of songs people used to listen to before it turned into pop culture. Not that I don't enjoy myself some pop, hip hop, etc but sometimes its good for a change.

It was pop at the time, just not quite the same. I'm six years older than you, and I never went for contemporary chart toppers. They always seemed to suck to me. In elementary school I actually did for a short time because I thought I was supposed to, but for my own likes not so much. There are some people out there creating things that don't suck, but pop is its own hell.

This isn't to say today's generation can't create like the old one. I'm firmly against that and find it offensive. It's just that today mass media is so big that you have to search to find the gold.

I may have pop more than a lot of people since I work in a department store sometimes, where I have to listen to that crap all the damn time.
