I have to subtile few scenes in VEGAS.

How to put text (subtile) over images?

I would appreciate if you guys tell me the exact steps cos I am not very smart and kind of tired (editing my feature for 7 days non stop)...

too easy...

Create a new track above the existing ones.

Put titles on that track using media generator. Make sure background alpha channel is set to zero. Or use the "text on transparent background" preset.

but subtiles i ve done... they kid of shine too much (especially when I watch my movie on MPEG1) ... anyway.. i just did mpeg2 and they look good....

How do you set the background alpha channel to zero exactly?

I'm a dumb noobie, thanks for the help.

Click the little green box on the title event to bring up the Media Generator. Click on the "Properties" tab and go to the Background Color box. Look at the little boxes with R, G, B, and A next to them. Set the A box to 0.

Or, just chose a title with a checkerboard behind it from the Media Generators window.
