Urgent problem-fcp help!

Como's back. back again
Sorry Mods, but can you move this to the FCP thread after I get some fast replies here?

Big, urgent problem:

WFN (World Fishing Network) NEEDS show 5, and I'm ready to hand it to them:

My workflow:

Cut the show to 23:50. When Done, I export it as a Quicktime Movie (It exports quick)

And then I drop that file into a timeline, add a de-interlace to it, and then I'm ready to print to tape.

Show's 1-4 worked fine, but for some reason, on this export, I get some MAD fuzzy/scratches. I re-checked in my original timeline and it's perfectly fine.

So, I copied all that footage, pasted it into a NEW timeline, and tried doing the same thing. Got that stupid scratchy/noise and it's SO loud.

Now, this happens randomly between the 9 minute mark and the 10 minute mark (1 minute in total) and the REST of the video is FINE. SO weird.

Now, what are my options? I need to get them show 5 and 6, and hopefully 6 will work out cause 1-4 did.

Should I just print it to tape from my original timeline, cause that seems to be fine. It's just a pain to add the de-interlace filter too all the clips, (I guess I can select and highlight them all..)

A quick response would help me!

Thanks so much,

Robbie

how about nesting the timeline and then dropping the de-interlace onto that? then alt + double click to adjust the filter.

You could always export another quicktime file from the original quicktime file that you exported and add a deinterlace filter and then bring it back into FCP to print to tape.
