Ok. I am running very short on time. Tomorrow I am directing and shooting a staged car accident with deaths etc. It is a demonstration to discourage drunk driving and is very realistic (major roads blocked off, helicopters, ambulances, firetrucks, etc. It must be filmed and edited in 24 hours.
So we have six people filming. We have two DVXs, a canon HV20 and three cheap consumer panny cams. The first three cameras mentioned will be in 24pA. So, first of all, will the 60i footage from the other cams be fine on a 24p timeline?
And my main question -- How can we edit the 60i footage to make it match the 24p footage as closely as possible? Are their filters we should use? I heard something about overlaying a clip on the 60i footage of black bars scrolling downwards very fast to simulate the bars that separate film frames. Would this work? How would we do it?
Basically, what can I do to make this footage all match as closely as possible? How can I make 60i look more like 24p? I know it won't be perfect. Please tell me anything you know. I don't have much time. Thanks so much.
