Urgent need of help.

Robbie Comeau

Como's back. back again
Sorry for posting here, but I need your help as soon as possible, as I have to hand this back to a client.

FCP, in all thoughts, is making me so frustrated.

I captured 1080i, 60i HD canon XH-A1 footage.

I edited in FCP, and everything was fine. When I would export, that's a different story.

Syncing was way off. Audio didn't match lips.

Now, all of a sudden, FCP is messed, and the audio isn't in sync in there either.

I know before it was, because I just new, and could tell.

I'm going to shift the audio in FCP, to match the video. Once I do this, how do I properly export, no problems?

Thanks!

Robbie

What do you mean?

You know when you accidentally slide over the audio track (when your clips AREN'T linked together?) and then you get red numbers, saying that the tracks aren't synced properly. Well, that didn't happen, every thing was fine. Then all of a stupid sudden, everything went out of sync, even though I didn't TOUCH anything to do with SLIDING the audio over.

Now that being said, I just touched everything up, sliding the audio 4 frames to the right. Everything is good, I'm ready to export.

Now what?

Thanks Batutta.

If you are say montoring your video on an NTSC monitor via firewire, but the audio is playing over your computer speakers, things will be out of sync. That's why I asked. Just double check your video and audio playback settings to make sure you're good. Setting video to none, and playback to built in audio is the safest.

Ahhh...I am using my dual monitor for everything.

CRAP!

Thanks so much Batutta, I'll try now. If it works, I'll praise you for life.

Guys,

I just took some footage from my DVX, slapped it in a new project, exported it, and it's fine.

Are the settings all screwed cause I'm exporting 1080i?

Sounds to me like your system is just choking on the footage, 60i requiring more horsepower that 24p. What are you using?

I-Mac. 2 gigs of ram. Final Cut studio 2.

Well, I have to get this to my client full res. I just exported to compressor fine, and now I'm burning to a DVD.

Is there a way to make it one whole quicktime file in compressor?

Fixed!

I just had to go Export- Quicktime Movie instead of Using Quicktime Conversion...

Ah!

Thanks to Loki for figuring this out for me...
