Urgent lighting request - Heroes 4 Hire

Shooting this Tuesday.
Having to light myself (again :()
I am making a British comedy film - Heroes 4 Hire.
Web up soon! Shooting an intro idea for my heroes.
I want to build a mood without giving too much away about the costumes. Going to pan/sweep slow close-ups. Chroma out background. Very Daredevil/imposing/hero-save the day.
Shot this test.

I am lighting from just outside a darkened bedroom against a gray wall.
Using red-head kit. 700w?

Group shot, stepping into the light+slow pans on singles, x2(D+BG) to cover both sides.
Shutter 1/120, some focused/some slightly out.

As lighting is my weak point (no other option honest!)
Give me your feedback to make my mysterious introduction/characters come alive!
Please.

Re: Urgent lighting request - Heroes 4 Hire

how are you going to chroma out your background in a dark room against a grey wall?

sorry it that is not a very constructive question, but I did try and read through your set up scenarios. If you don't get any bettter responses, maybe add more picts or better details-questions?

Re: Urgent lighting request - Heroes 4 Hire

Luma out. Sorry.
Ok shooting 24p and I want as glossy, mysterious as possible.
I want to use the darkness to sweep in and out of. Whilst highlighting contours, costumes.
What would the best positions for the lights to be in.
What are my best camera setting for low lighting? Thought about 1/120 shutter in-case I have to later slow-mo the pans in edit. so on 24p and 1/120 know that its gonna be hard to make glossy so no extra gain.
I also have been shooting without auto-focus for various results.
I am using the idea for intro credits, with various gfx layers.

Re: Urgent lighting request - Heroes 4 Hire

Maybe mount your lights above and a little to the side, so they step into pools of light, or half into the light. Then maybe a light form behind slightly off to the opposite side for an edge, or even a light directly behind them blasting into the camera that they block with their bodies, creating silouettes until they step into the light. Then add a little smoke....tasty. Good luck and have fun.
