Hi 2 All,

I have a little problem with understanding tech. spec. sheet for broadcast color settings. TV wrote me this:

Make sure that all video signals are " Broadcast safe " ( 700 mV white level, 0 mV black level and RGB Gamut in the Color room ). More info at EBU Recommendation R103-2000
.

Now Im not sure, how to setup right broadcast colors export inside Premiere CS5. Applying "broadcast color" effect on every shot is enough or there must be another settings inside premiere ? If this efx is enough, how must be right settings ?

Thank you very much for any tip and comments !

Did you look up the "more info at EBU Recommendation R103-2000"? It sounds like that will give you the in depth info you are looking for... I know all of the tech I get is like that. One sheet is the abbreviated version with an in depth spec somewhere behind it...

Using the broadcast color effect will make sure your video levels are in spec, but it's the most harsh way to do it. Actually learning what the levels are, and making sure your materials fall within that standard without having to stomp on them at the end with a harsh broadcast clamping effect is the correct way.
