I'm capturing 30p HDV footage from a Canon XH-A1s and until it has been captured, it lists the clip (in Browser) as Upper Field Dominance. Once it has been captured, somehow the Field Dominance has changed to None (which stays that way also when converted to ProRes). I'm not sure if this is normal but when I mix this XH-A1s footage with 7D 30p footage in the sequence that has been converted to ProRes, the 7D footage remains as Upper Field Dominance. So I have a resulting mix of Upper and None Field Dominance in the 30p ProRes sequence.
Is it normal that the XH-A1s footage changes Field Dominance from Upper to None when captured?
