upgrading to CS3

I am currently running the CS2 bundle and have trapcode as well as other 3rd party plun ins for AE installed when I upgrade will the plugins still work? Do I have to uninstall the old CS2 bundle before installing the new CS3? I am using education versions of both. Will I have to reinstall the plug ins?

If you're on an Intel Mac, some plugs won't work, namely the Trapcode ones...they say they're updating this summer.

thanks for the reply, I am on a pc , I guess I will see what carries over when I get my upgrade this afternoon.

they should all still be there, but you can easily make a backup copy of your plugins folders, and just paste them back in after the upgrade. .. or just reinstall the plugins if they dont stick around for some reason.

i have tryed a demo version (full for a few days) and it is super slow, it takes an hour to install and to uninstall too, it installs a dozen of oder unusable softwares like bridge, I have not seen really good improvement, and it eats up more memory, and runs slower.
