Upgrading OS with a clean install, any issues before I do?

Have a first gen MBP 15" with 10.4.11 and wanted to go to 10.5. Will do a clean install as it really needs a fresh start. Finishing up one project (will wait), but have one long term project and one project loaded, that I will begin editing once the upgrade is done. Just looking to see if there is anything I need to watch out for? Assuming projects can be brought back to life once everything is settled?

Clone your hard drive first, in case you need to go back. This free app will do the job well--

Thanks for the help. I actually installed a new hard drive about a month ago and have it as a bootable back-up (USB enclosure - OWC). So I was only going to copy files from my folder and the FCP project files. I could copy everything again as I have a small Firewire drive ready to back-up to. Will probably go ahead and do that anyway.

Gotta get off of 10.4.11 as to many programs will not let me upgrade. New MBP coming in the next couple of months...
