Upgrading my Quicktime

Just to be clear, I am using Quicktime 6.5 right now and figured I would update to the latest version 6.5.1. Do I need to download the Quicktime for Java as well (version 2)? Will my archived completed projects still play with no problems if I plan to upgrade.

I am thinking about updating to FCP HD today as well.

HD, 6.5.1 on a G4 is VERY stable!!!

No problems with archived projects either.
