upgrading memory in G5

[DVX100Shooter]

Just off hand do any of you know of any place that has RAM for a decent price for a G5? I have the single 1.8. I have checked out RamJet but they want $769 for 4gigs. I want to shop around before I commit to paying that kind of money. I have a gig and a half now in my computer.

Check dealram.com

You can search by type of computer and I've always found good deals and been happy with my purchases from the vendors they list.

dealram.com has great deals sometimes.

Occassionally, you might find a good deal on Macmall.com too

Try these guys, Transintl LLC. I can't verify from experience, but posts on the Apple forum gave a thumbs up to the memory for the G5. Very good prices.

I was going to give them a try when I get my G5.

Re: upgrading memory in G5

I have always bought RAM from Crucial.com for my Dual G5. Have never had any problems with them and it is sooo easy to order from their website. Fast too ....

I have 2Gb of Corsair ram (PC3200) I bought at Newegg for ~$145/Gb. (Plus the 512 that came with the machine)
Meets the requirements for the dual 2.0 G5 and has proved to be very stable. I checked with Apple and the ram exactly meets the requirements of the G5.

BTW, Newegg has a fantastic inventory of products and ships very promtly. In almost every case I buy there...have never been disappointed.
