Upgrading from Educational?

[Shawn Philip Nelson]

Has anyone ever tried upgrading from an educational version of either Final Cut Studio or an Adobe collection to the non-student version via the simple 'Upgrade' software purchase? I wondered if I was eligible for that given that my current copies are legally purchased student copies.

I was told you can do it with Avid.... or maybe that's just the Avid MC upgrade... you just don't get the 3rd party software. But Premiere or FC, I have no clue about.
