Hey! I'm making a film with a dvx100 and i started editing it on FCP4. My edition were set for 23.98 f/s removed advanced pull down. All was working just fine until i decided to upgrade my projecto from FCP4 to FCPHD. Now all my clips run like they were 29.97 f/s and so does the sequence (without interlaced frames though) and when i open my project, FCPHD pops up a window saing that my clips should be recapturated or that i should go to media manager and make copies in order to work better with FCPHD. I did the last sujestion and nothing changed. Anyone could help me here? Thanks vatos! :D

For starters you should NOT have upgraded your system right in the middle of a project!!!!! From what I have been told, clips from FCP 4.1 won't play in 4.5. I thnk it has to do with the Quicktime upgrade. I just upgraded to HD earlier this and I made sure I was complete with all current projects before the upgrade.

The default setting for FCP would be 29.97 fps, if you didn't set up HD for 23.98 this is probably what would happen. Did you try creating a new project and importing the clips from capture scratch?

It isn't that the clips are incompatible between FCP4 and FCP HD, it's the project file. I've upgraded a number of old projects to HD, and it's chancey... it's dropped transitions, screwed up slo-mo, etc. Mid-project upgrades are seldom without consequence... :)
