Upgrade to Sony Vegas Suite

So I'm thinking of making the jump to Sony Vegas suite with hitfilm. Just wondering from those that uses these programs, would the upgrade be worth it? Does hitfilm work well with vegas?

From my experience, using Vegas 8.0 and tried the 11.0 as well...Vegas wasn't much stable imho. Hitfilm seems to be well regarded in that price range, but I've never used it.
I'm using Media Composer to edit, and I'm glad I made the move from Vegas to it. Day and night, in my experience.

Most users have found Vegas very stable, unless they're using really odd-ball graphics cards or plugins. If you download the free trial version and have a play, that should show up most incompatibility issues pretty quick.

What was driving me crazy wasn't much when editing, rather than when I tried to export the finished timeline...
Last two project I edited in Vegas, I ended with random black segments of video when exporting or Vegas would simply crash during the export. That's what convinced me to make the move, and I see a huge difference. Otherwise, Vegas is very intuitive and easy to edit with. I did many projects with that software before it eventually start to fail me in the last two project. Last one, I had to re-edit the whole thing in Media Composer. Not a huge project, but 10mins short film. Still...

As for GPU, I had something decent, while not being a 500$+ card, does the job easily. At the moment, I have a GTX740. Not the most powerful, but works well.
