Upgrade to Leopard?

Jason what Mac are you running. Would love if someone with a multicore machine could take a file in FC ad filters X and Y, render. Then compare to post upgrade.

I always wait at LEAST 3 months before buying into an OS upgrade unless its pre-installed ( as Leopard will be) on a new Mac Purchase. Looks like a ton of cosmetics for the money- no actual changes in core functionality. I'd call it a pretty big patch. Besides, without looking I'll bet it gobbles up more HDD space than the Tiger.

only takes about 3gb more space than tiger. consider 18 months ago, standard size of HDD equipped in computers as is was around 60-80gb smaller, only a 3gb increase in ratio to that is good.

i dont know what im talkin bout. HAHA

I've got a MBP 2.16 Core 2 Duo w/3 gigs. Didn't think to do FCP tests first -- DOH! I usually don't upgrade my OS this quickly, but I really wanted to check out Time Machine. (And, yes, I do/did regular backups before.)

ya, its still getting updated actually, the latest developer seed is in Delta status at the moment, most recent seed Oct. 26

Leopard is working well for me, i did the upgrade and everything seems to work - hvx xfers, parallels, fcp 6, dual adapter.
