hey folks,

I'm back again, with yet another tech question. A few actually.

1. Can I have vegas 5 and 6 installed on the same comp.

2. Can I open a vegas 5 project in vegas 6 without any issues.

However, you can't open a V6 project in V5. But you can have them both open at once and pretty much copy the timeline and paste it over.
 
You can also open up multiple versions of Vegas 6 or 5 at the same time. Pretty cool when working with nestable timelines and such, or just multi tasking between projects.
