upgrade graphics card?

Would an upgrade from the stock FX5200 that came with my G5 Dual 1.8 make any difference in using FCP and/or Livetype? Thinking of something like the Radeon 9800.
 
Graeme, what a dreadful answer! I need someone to facilitate my wasteful habits...but I'm not quite so extravagant that I'd go top of the line. Spend money to play games? Never! But if it helps my work -- even a tiny, little bit -- of course!

Maybe there are just a few little binary digits in the FCP code that would somehow be happier if I spent money on them??? Huh, huh?
 
Sorry, but I notice no difference in FCP in going from 9800 to X800, but, ofcourse, Motion, Games, Final Touch etc. all sped up a great deal.

I thought FCP 5 and Tiger were going to take more advantage of the video cards.
(I'm working on a project now so haven't upgraded yet)
