Easy, hoss. Hang around for a bit longer and see what it's actually like before you try to remodel the place.

I've been hanging around for over three years and I'm still trying to get Jarred to ok a section on meatloaf recipes. He never returns my calls. :(

LMAO! David, you're a riot.

I do agree that a section for DVD authoring would be soooo helpful. I've been hitting the FCP section with a few questions lately with ?'s about that.

DVD authoring is very specific to the app you are using. While DVXUser rocks for FCP help, I have found the Apple forums to be awesome for DVD Studio Pro help.

The amount of Sections has grown quite a bit since I first came here.

I don't like the idea of adding so many different sections for such specifics. It segregates, intimidates and something else that rhymes with 'ates'.

Like what coffee said, almost all of the major pieces of software have entire message boards dedicated to them.

I know. Every few weeks I see a post by someone I don't recognize and they've got about 600 posts. Where do these people post?:)

Exactly! There's a plethora of people in the HVX and RED sections that I've never seen, but they've got tons of posts! It's my fault for not going in there as often as I should, but there's just too many sections for me to keep tabs on. I've got enough trouble with the Cafe!

HAHA! I have been outside the cafe a lot lately, and you're right... lots of people I don't know with like 600-700 posts. Its fun though, it's like a whole other area in some of the subforums... I've been in the HVX ones a lot these days.

i thought about the DVD part for awhile.. but there are just too many programs.

I also thought of having an Apple part that branches out.. because its pretty hard to find info about HVX workflow in FCP etc. elsewhere, and the apple forums are a little overwhelming.

Now that i got rid of a ton of other camera forums, i think we may be able to choose one new one.

the problem with adding more sections is the more sections, the less people browse each one. If say your using compressor, instead of posting in the output section which doesnt get THAT much traffic, ur more likely to get a response in the FCP section purly because more ppl browse there and probably know the answer.

Same theory applies to most other "new" sections you could add

I don't post as much and therefore not many people know me, I find that most of the times isn't necessary to post if you use the search function, as chances are that someone else already went trough the same thing and found a solution or two here.

I love this place as it is , no need to change it.

For those who don't me, my name is Edwin and I am in the same boat as everyone, trying to make films.
