I must be doing something wrong. I'm trying to upconvert 480i to 720p with Matrox MXO2 hardware via Final Cut Pro 7's log and capture window.
I've posted screen pics of my issues with FCP7 and Matrox MXO2 here:

[1] For some reason, I wind up with a 720p file that has 16 audio tracks even though I only need two (pic 05). Could it be because of an incorrect setting in the log and caputre window's clip settings tab? (pic 02)
[2] In the log and capture window, the image is cut in half and blueish. I have no idea why. But it must be a settings issue. (pic 01)
[3] I'm trying to upconvert from 480i to 720p and also to 1080p as a test. For some reason, even though I selected 59.94 as my frame rate for 1080p, I still wind up with 29.97 fps (pic 06).
When upconverted to 720p though, the frame rate was correct at 59.94 fps.
[4] Can anyone tell me if I selected the wrong MXO preset in the capture settings tab? (pic 03). The one I selected was Apple ProRes HQ 1080i 59.94 48 khz yet I still wound up with 29.97as as fps.
