Up-scaling 1920x1080p to 2K for DCP creation

Hello, we've shot a short film in full hd 1920x1080p. Now we need to convert full hd to 2K for a DCP construction. I through about going this way: Import 1920x1080p film to the After Effects, up-scale composition to 2048x1152 and then export as TIFF image sequence for a DCP.

What do you think? I mean, it's only 7% of the image to be up-scaled.

There's no need to upscale it for projection. 1920x1080 is one of the standard sizes for 2k digital cinema projection. The allowable window is 2048x1080, so 2048x1152 would need to be cropped back to to fit inside that window.

What if aspect ratio is 2.40 and resolution is 1920x800, is this still allowable?
