Unwanted black bars after export... please help

Hello hello... I've searched this forum on similar topics but I couldn't find one. This is a problem that I have with PPro when trying to export edited footage captured from the DVX.

When I export just a frame, the resolution is perfect - 720x480 (it's supposed to be a regular 4:3). But when I export the whole movie, black bars get added to the top and the bottom and the video is sctretched. I posted a picture of a frame exported from the timeline (good) and of a picture which is a screenshot made from the full exported avi file (with black bars).

When I export, I use no compressor, frame size is set to 720x480, and Pixel Aspect Ratio is 0.9. What am I doing wrong??

If anybody can help, please do!
 
just double check all your export video settings, and make sure the clips are interpreted properly by right clicking them in the project bin, and selecting "interpret footage".. you can do it to all the clips at once.
 
I finally figured it out. When I export in Microsoft AVI, I get the black bars. But when I export in Microsoft DV AVI, the frame size is correct.
The only concern I have now is whether Microsoft DV AVI is the same quality as Microsoft AVI (671MB for MS DV AVI as opposed to 5.41GB for MS AVI for a 3:05 video). Does anybody know?
