Unsupported Media type error

Trying to render quicktime footage via cineform HD and started to get this error.

An error occurred while creating the media file
An unsupported media type was requested.

Same error comes up with m2t files captured via Vegas 8b pro.

My footage is HDV 1080i on canon A1.

Any one else get this error? Timeline is set to auto-ripple with all markers, tracks etc effected.

First of all, I would suggest you encode your Cineform files as AVI for Vegas, not MOV. Vegas is not optimized at all to edit the MOV container (and that's official, not just my experience).

As for m2t, I have heard similar stories of users not being able to open m2t streams, but they were either using the demo or a pirated version of Vegas.

I would suggest a re-installation of vegas.

Well i just edited a dv project without any hiccups. I will try your suggestion of using avi vs mov files and see if that works.

Unsupported Media Type Quicktime Vegas 8.0b

Unsupported Media Type Quicktime Vegas 8.0b

I keep getting this error, and it's frustrating. I'm trying to render an uncompressed quicktime file from the timeline, so that I can pass it off to a vendor for color correction on another system. Everytime I attempt to render a large quicktime like this, the progress bar goes to 10% and then stops "Unsupported Media Type" error pops up. The project is natively 720/24pN shot on an HVX200. I am using Raylight 3. AVI's seem to export fine. It's always quicktime.

Any ideas?
