Uneven tripod??

So I have a tripod which is most definitely NOT a $2000 pro tripod. It was more like $300 and I got it on sale for like $70. Anyway, the levels on the tripod are all centered but I still get a weird, crooked image. So I have to stuff a piece of tissue paper between the camera and the tripod head to even out the image. If the liquid levels on the tripod are all centered, why am I still getting a crooked image?

Oh..and its not the building! I know this because it's crooked ANYWHERE I shoot. Unless ALL buildings are really that crooked lol

the most important thing u do when leveling a tripod is to not use the leveling bubble on the tripod. you should always put your camera on the tripod and then level your camera with the area you are shooting. its more important that the picture looks level then having a leveling device tell you that you are level.

Here's where the most important factor comes in...the human factor. Who cares if the equipment is a bit off? You know it, anyone who works for you should know it, and they can compensate. Unless the equipment has mechanical faults, just compensate and make sure the image is visually pleasing(or, gods help us, eyeball it, lol).

I have a nice tripod on which the level has no liquid...I use a small pocket level when I need to establish a perfect pan(which I'd use anyway, as it's easier to read a level on top of the head), and for static I eyeball it.....this isn't something I'd trust to joe schmoe of course, but I've done it so many times that I am the human level, lol.

The camera seems to be seated correctly. So as Zakart and Nick say, I should "eyeball" it. Just level it using the imagine instead of the levels. That works. It's what I usually do, but man it would be nice to figure out the problem lol. I appreciate it guys. Quick question...does this ever happen with the pro, $2000+ tripods? Thanks!

I wouldn't put a lot of trust in the level on a $70 tripod. Use your eyes to level or go to Home depot a get a small bubble level.
