undo a reverse telecine

So I accidentally hit the "reverse telecine" menu item and hosed one of my clips!! OMG the manual says there is no way to undo this... Anyone know anything that can help me fix my destroyed clip?

Unfortunately recapture is not an option, as this was straight from P2, and was not archived... It's not critical stuff, but I just can't believe I can screw something up that easily, and not have an undo.. I mean Final Cut is supposed to be NON-DESTRUCTIVE... at least give a warning if your gonna hose something on the hard drive... damn...
 
Going back to P2 wont do anything.. Apparently this process physically removes frames from the file and then sets the timerate to 24P... So now I lose a frame every 7 frames or so... it's pretty whack... But luckily the material really isnt that important.. Although a valuable lesson learned..

Anyone know a decent freeware/shareware MAC undelete program??
I do have the P2 data on an external USB drive.. deleted but I don't believe anything has been written to the drive since...
