hello
i am searching for a quite small but powerful light that i can use underwater as well as outdoors in sunshine/shade. it has to be camera mountable - so that basically determines the size. and it has to be able to be charged from an external battery, preferable my tekkeon battery.

here is the link for the battery:

any suggestions?

replies would be very much appreciated?

I'm not sure anything like this exists. If you want to use a light outside in sunlight, it's going to need to be very powerful, or very close to the subject. In general, the smallest light that will make a difference outside is a 1.2k HMI. These lights are pretty large and I've never heard of something that powerful mounted to a camera.

There are some things out there. But they are going to be unwieldy. And they are going to be very expensive.

When you say "camera" mounted, you need to be specific. We use up to dual 50w HID lights (similar to HMI) lights underwater on flexible arms, but we also have some 200w HMI lights that we use to light up the underwater caves. Those are usually handheld or placed on scooters.

You might want to talk to the folks at hydroflex. They do a LOT of this kind of work and they have 4k and 8k HMI lights...for a price!:

Best of luck!

Cavers, spelunkers and tech divers are a breed apart....going way beyond what most would do. I'm happy just to watch!! Great stuff!!

thanks for those repiies. seem like i have to lower my demands a bit. they´re more expensive than i want to spend...
really nice vdos though:)
