Underwater Housings Options

Hello all,

I'm new in the Underwater Housing market. I've been scuba diving for 5 years and just got back using low-end underwater video options. I'm finally getting enough capital to pony up for a legit housing for my DVX-100B.

So far I've researched and have only come up with the EQUINOX Pro Pak 8 housing.

There's hasn't been any consumer/third party product reviews and I have yet to find another option. I was just wondering if any of you guys could shed some extra light in this less-traveled area of the DVX-100Bs.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here's something...

There was also some pictures and video clips with the equinox, but the quality was a bit poor, so you cant really tell about the housings quality.

I'm still looking for a housing too, since the dvx:s 25p and superb sensitivity would make it a great cam for uw-video.

The equinox is cheap, and probably good enough for me, but it's a shame I would have to order it "blindfold" overseas.

It just depends on what you want to do with your Camera. If you want to dive with your camera more than 30ft, equinox make a good housing and You might also want to look at Ikelight housings as well. If your just going to snorkle or shoot in the surf you might want to check out a light weight custom made housing " surf housing ". These will run about $1200- $2500 you can check www.waterhousings.com or just google surf housings. Another good housing is www.delmarcamerahousings.com I think that is the right website. If not just google Del Mar surf housings. An even cheaper route would be to checkout www.epiccam.com. I do a lot of shooting in the water and it is a lot of fun. Plus you will get some incredible shots.
Good Luck
