Underwater Housing

Does anybody have any experience with underwater housing for the DVX100? It looks like Panasonic and Equinox are the only 2 brands available, and judging from the appearance, I think both are the same. I'm just wondering about the difficulties in using the viewfinder and operating the zoom and focus controls.

Ewa makes a soft housing (looks like a plastic bag) that's less expensive than the above mentioned hard cases. Has anybody had experience with Ewa? I only plan to go down to about 10 feet or so, so any housing would work.

Re: Underwater Housing

the Panasonic and the Equinox are identical.
The underwater housing comes with built in controls for on/off, record on/off, zoom and white balance (actually there are just levers or buttons inserted into the housing that operate the controls on the camera).
The Equinox Pro Pak 8 would be big enough to use the camera with the LCD folded out.

I used Ewa bags for still photography, but stopped after a seal broke and a rather expensive Nikon camera was full of salt water.
The Ewas are ok to protect the cam at the beach against sand and spray and may work for snorkeling but as soon as you start with serious diving you should invest into a proper underwater housing.
