Hi,
As some of you may be aware, we have been developing a underwater housing system for the HVX which should be ready for release Q1 next year. We finished the prototypes at the beginning of 08 and have been conducting extensive testing since. The housing will accommodate the full HVX range and has been developed based upon deep water oil and gas technology is it it extremely robust and will operate down to 600 ft. While maintaining neutral buoyancy and ideal position in water. It has an optically corrected dome port, 4.5" High Def Display, linear electronic controls, only 2 o-rings and should retail for about 1/2 cost of the nearest commercial system.
We have just completed some extensive filming / testing in a large underwater cave system which went very well. We will be releasing the housing spec. details etc. on our website shortly and I will post the site when up and running.

I would in the interim be interested in anybodies views as to the type of work they may wish to do if they had access to this type of system and what primary controls they may consider essential. Any comments would be appreciated before we move into our final production phase. If anybody is interested I would be pleased to send through details of the final production unit.
Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

It might be nice if you could place the HVX200 'remote control' pad somewhere on the housing. This, if you could make it work, would alleviate several access points to the camera in the housing. Probably wouldn't work out but it is an idea.
